after all that... i think it's quite possible that my dean may have killed my chances of getting into Brown by not sending a letter. all that fucking time i spent. and money. and stress. wow.
i'm learning to let go. i need to be less uptight. that ball of static stress i was as a teenager is NOT coming back. she can just stay away forever.
mike and i are going to the Swap Shop (aka, free thrift store) and i'm excited.
this morning, we went and talked to a guy about a job. on a whalewatching boat. i thought it would be excellent, but apparently, it pays about 10 dollars an hour, we'd work up to 14 hour days (no overtime), sell concessions to whalewatchers, and have to wear khakis. sorry dude. no way. i mean, really? 10 bucks an hour to do customer sevice in a huge tourist town?? i'm not gettingpaid that shit if i'm not at least getting dirty and wearing what i want to. i'll take peanuts if there's shovelling or sledging involved. otherwise, kiss my ass. i think mike's gonna do it, anyhow, and we can't be living and working together for 14 hours a day.
alright, off to get some free shoping done.
ps. the sun is shining and it's a littleteeny bit chilly, but GORGEOUS.
i just edited for typos and spelling errors... maybe the dean won't have anything to do with not getting in heh.
