I have mismatched thumbs. I've met a couple other people with the same deal (Though Dani's the only one I can remember)... but they have thumbs that closely resemble mine. I keep meaning to google it, and now that i'm trying to study for my biology test, i figured a little postponed distraction is good.
Scientific articles link it to the amino-terminal mismatch-recognition domain (see, I'm still studying biology!). Essentially, it is a failure of some tiny system to recognize and repair my mismatched DNA. Crazy, huh?? below the cut is the funniest thing I've found... aside from the fact that a few people's blogs popped up.

I'm tempted to start getting a hold of strangers and organizing some sort of Association for People With Mutant Thumbs.
