goal oriented

I have goals for my trip.

• Write The Story of Ed (the towtruck driver from Gary).
• Get the other four stories ready for printing for my little booklette.
• Do not lose my mind
  
• Read a whole book. Kite Runner, finally.
  
• Walk.
• Fish.
• Cook.
• Get my boots fixed?
• Do not spend the entire time on the phone trying to get away from the present situation.
  

Okay. So, I don't know if I mentioned that my step mother is really sick. Like, cancer sick. She and I have never gotten along. Only recently have we discovered the ability to tolerate each other, and last time I was in NC we actually had a nice time together. I think.
I have no idea what it will be like to be there with her so sick, my dad working, my sister and brother.... ??? I'm nervous. I have to keep my head level and my heart open.
