House sitting gig
Feb. 12th, 2008 11:15 amI'm pretty excited. I just met the guy who I'm going to house sit for (thanks for all the pricing tips, everyone, btw), and he's great. He and his wife are a queer couple, he's a painter, and he's also the guy that puts out the "KEEP PORTLAND QUEERED" stickers and whatnot.
Anyhow. I think we'll be friends. I'm going to have dinner with him and his wife next thursday to get the lay of the land and "met the kids."
I ended up going with 25 a night. Middle of the road of all your lovely advice... So that means a hundred bucks for me, and a quiet place to study for my next god damned biology exam.
(I still love biology, but I think I have to have a conversation with her about a. the fairness of her exam and b. belittling us afterward, talking to the class like we all expected it to be easy, when I know at least 3 students with Ds spent their entire weekend studying. And one with a c - that'd be me.
Okay, Off to chemistry. blek.
Oh! Q is coming into town today, too! That's way exciting.
