i was really supposed to make some phone calls today. namely, to jessy (my bff since 3rd grade), and dory. whoops. i slept till 3 in the afternoon and then sat around and read things until about 7 when i called renee to see if she wanted to go get dinner.
there was a party tonight at jen's house.. i worked for her earlier this summer, she's pretty great. we went and had a good time. i had a drink, and i didn't realize i was tipsy until i started typing. it's always really nice to hang out with renee. we've come to a point of friendship where we can talk to each other about things we don't talk to anyone else about. i think i jsut realized this tonight. there's a kinda huge, hard thing happening in my life that i won't go into on here. and i'm completely at a loss about how to handle it... and it was helpful to just sit and talk to her about it.. as someone who is completely unattached to the issue. thank god for good friends.
also- my number (first ever) in the show last night went really well. i had $30 shoved in my dress! that's crazy. there were 150 people there, which means we each made a lot more money than we had even hoped. there were only 4 of us. damn, it was fun... alright. off to bed for me, early day tomorrow, regardless of how late i slept today. (in my defense, though, i didn't go to sleep until after 5am.)
