Holy anger explosion. It's not very fair that LiveJournal only gets my attention when I'm having a rough time. I read it otherwise, but i just post about the shit when it's storming. So, here are some other things that are happening:
I am graduating in just over a month. Then starting graduate school in September. It is a master's program but i will hopefully change it to a PhD next year. I'm studying pseudoscorpion behavior. That is too broad right now, but here is the really awesome thing: my faculty advisor - the person whose TA I will be - is hiring me for the summer as her research assistant. This is SO great, because she mostly wants me to spend the summer doing research for my own project, figuring out what questions i want to answer and how to go about it, and occasionally running DNA on gels for her. And I'll get paid! Oh, and i guess i haven't really mentioned this, but part of being a grad student in the biology department is that my master's degree is paid for. Plus I'll get a stipend. Because I have a teaching assistantship, with someone i really respect and admire.
I'm a biologist. THAT IS CRAZY.
There is also some super exciting stuff happening at home, but more on that later. I typed this on my phone so i hope i caught all the awkward autocorrects. Now I'm going to go to sleep, with Oliver, who is snoring very loudly next to me.
