So, here is a master list of the stuff I need, etc. I posted it on Facebook, but you know, I love to double-post.

Hi there!
Thank you all so much for your support and love and generosity!! Oliver and I appreciate it every step of the way!
If you are sending gifts, cards, love, anything else in the mail, here is our address:
9225 N Burr Ave.
Portland, OR 97203
And my number:

503-442-5929
Registry:
We have an online registry at TheThingsIWant.com, where I tried to get a good range of prices, and also some good examples of what I hope will be found used. You can find the list by searching ‘Brandiy Welch’ on thethingsiwant.com.
Wish List:
Basinet that is listed on my registry (arm’s reach mini convertible cosleeper)
Bedding for basinet – preferably all cotton
Baby carrier – ergo baby sport carrier (please see registry for more info)
Breast pump – see registry (I don’t necessarily need one so fancy… I trust your research, but Madela’s products are BPA and phthalate free)
Stroller that is easily collapsible and lightweight, good for bus travel with high safety and satisfaction ratings
Robeez soft-soled shoes
Convertible car seat – infant, baby/toddler, and booster seat in one
Bin for dirty cloth diapers – there are fancy ones that have charcoal in the lid, but a decent small trash can with a tight lid would also be awesome
A cover for my boppy pillow (breastfeeding pillow)
Baby bathtub
A bottle brush
Bottles and nipples *** Please be sure to get only bottles that are BPA and phthalate free, not marked with a ‘7’ or ‘PC’(polycarbonate), glass would be best. And clear silicon nipples.
Portable playpen (play n stay? Stow n go?? I can’t remember the name…)
Hats (I really want him to have little baby newsie hats)
Toys: I really prefer that toys be cloth or wood, even metal, instead of plastic. Stuffed animals, wooden cars, wood blocks, trains, etc… Many plastic toys are shown to give off fumes that are harmful. Thanks!
Costumes please!!
Anything handmade. I love your art and crafts and so will my baby!
Baby Bjorn potty chair
Baby Bjorn little potty (portable)
Little baby three piece suits
Baby wash cloths
Changing pad, for changing on the go
Cloth diapers – there are some on the registry, but also fun prints and handmades are always welcome and celebrated
Bag for carrying dirty diapers when out and about
Coupons for childcare, massage, errand-running, cleaning, cooking…
Big ‘overnight’ style menstrual pads (cloth ones, please!) for postpartum bleeding
Subscriptions to magazines like Hip Mama, Bust, Bitch (I’m not so interested in straight-people magazines like Parenting, etc.)
Gift certificates for places in Portland that have yoga, parenting classes, hot tubs, things that will be nice self-care stuff for me once the baby comes.
Gift Cards:
I would love gift cards from the following stores, please, NO WALMART! (We don’t have one here, and I think they are evil anyway.) Thanks!
Target
New Seasons
Fred Meyer
Trimet (in other words – bus passes)
Amazon.com
IKEA to help with my storage issues (maybe my car will come back if I return)
Already have:
Nail clippers
Infant seats
Boppy breastfeeding pillow
A lot of clothes for the baby but can always use more – prefer clothes in the 6-12 month range and older, because infants grow fast .
LOTS of books (of course, if you have an all time favorite…)
Moby Wrap
A note about the big-ticket items on the above list and on my online registry:
So, there is some expensive stuff up there. Many of these things can be found used on craigslist or at thrift stores. I definitely prefer this option to having things purchased for three times as much new. If you find things used that are in good shape and clean, please go for it. I was also thinking that for more expensive stuff, people might team up.
Alright, that’s all I got right now. If you buy these things, please let me know via comments here or email so I don’t end up with seventeen strollers or something like that. Thanks again a million times!
Love!

Date: 2009-10-07 08:58 pm (UTC)As with most multi-purpose toys, it wasn't great for either activity. However, the name ALWAYS made me laugh.
