Praise

I received very high compliments from my advisor today. She does not hand these things out. At all.  Ever. But in response to a first draft of my personal statement for the NSF GRF, she said I am "an excellent writer!" and that I wrote about myself "masterfully".

 

I really reeeaaally needed to hear that. It feels like my first true positive thing in grad school, and even gives me just a tiny shimmer of hope that I could get this fucking thing. Here we go.
