Retail therapy,
Oct. 29th, 2009 12:03 amI had some today. It was really good. I bought two shirts at Cross Dress for Less, plus grey fishnets for two bucks. And then at Target I got myself a maternity winter coat. It was a hard decision to spend that much money (forty bucks) on a coat that I will wear for two months. But, I can sell it on Craigslist for twenty bucks in December and some pregnant woman will be very happy about it. I've been feeling a little stressed every time I have to leave the house in the rain, now that I'm on the bus. None of my jackets or coats close in the front, and my hoodie barely does. When i do zip the hoodie, it pulls my shirts up, exposing my belly. This means my belly is getting rained on! Not comfortable, people. Not comfortable.
So, nice simple black coat that looks very cute and has room for a hoodie underneath plus my belly and even a scarf = very happy and calm Charlz.
I also picked up some things, finally, that I've been needing for too long. Like, face wash. And deodorant. And more thank you cards.
My baby shower is so soon! I'm getting so freaking excited to have a party, and to have so many of my favorites all in one place. Then Thanksgiving. Oh boy! And then right after that, I get to meet my son!!!! And my birthday is in there somewhere but I hardly care about that at this point.
Saturday is three years of no smoking.
Tomorrow I am getting a back pain treatment in the morning, then going to the pumpkin patch with my date and some of her good friends and their adorable children, and then hopefully stopping by x's art opening (formerly fx) on my way to infant and child CPR class.
I'm feeling pretty on top of things these past few days. Like something is kicking into gear and I am finally in motion... finally carrying out plans I have held onto for a long time.
