This American Life

    I just got an email from a guy at TAL letting me know they're not accepting my piece. It was really sweet, though, and he said he wanted to contact me personally and instead of put me on the "depressingly large pile of submitters who get a form rejection letter."
He said he liked the voice of my piece a lot, and encouraged me to keep submitting, and gave me some tips. How nice is that??
So, I didn't get in.. but I still feel kinda special.
