Okay... more substance.
Feb. 18th, 2007 06:24 pmFirst of all... our people are amazing. I just had an amazing weekend full of amazing people, and I really wish g could have been with us. Stupid work. The bagel-off was so much fun, and reminded me just how quirky some of you folks - *cough* puma - are and how much i love you for that that.
AND THEN! going to philly with my mumma was such a good thing. The party was mixed mich and non-mich people, and that was good. I actually hid out in the kitchen playing speed scrabble all night with a revolving group of people. and that was good. You may not know this about me, but if i have a task at a party, something to focus on however mundane, it makes me a lot more comfortable.
So, then.. this morning I got grover's voicemail from last night, that her car was either stolen or towed. We still don't know which, she's been at work all day.
Other bad-luck-car-ness: My car window is still broken from over a month ago, because i'm too overwhelmed by life to get it fixed... and at the same time that that happened, I had a flat. And when my mom got here she brought my mail with her, within which was my insurance info that they TRIPLED my MOTHERFUCKING PREMIUM, and I'm a month behind. So, a cancellation notice as well. But am I willing to pay over 200 dollars a month? NO! FUCK. THAT. SHIT. So, driving sucks. Being a car owner in new york sucks. It can be convenient maybe once or twice a week, but worth it?? Maybe not.
I just went shopping with my mumma. I got:
-A nice winter coat, finally. It's the usual, down-filled, black, hooded. Very comfy.
-2 pairs of cotton tights. Hells yeah.
-A blow drier. It was cheap. It's oldschool.
-A new hat to wear at stupid work. From one of those places where it[s like a guy selling millions of hats out of an open closet. I like brooklyn.
That's all... I have to get ready for the Lesbian Word. i hope everyone had a great weekend!!
