i got an accidental phone call this morning from casey, who is babysitting margot and ree's dogs. beans has been really sick, and she was put on all sorts of antibiotics and steroids that messed her up pretty bad. and this morning, she died. i spent a long time having a break down. beano was my cuddle buddy in portland. she'd sleep curled up right behind my knees, always in the middle of the bed. even if we were in a twin. bed hog. i loved her, and i'm really sad that i'll never see her again. i'm even more sad for ree... who's in ohio right now with margot dealing with the end of a family tragedy. i really wish i could be there for her. distance blows sometimes.
