charlz_lynnI just got home from the census application process and testing. It was such an interesting sociological study, because our instructor was really very late. Like 45 minutes. Some people were getting practically irate, some were calling the census bureau, many were just carrying on with their reading, sudoku, staring into space, etc. I was just reading my book.
When a woman working for the library told us she recieved a phone call, from the guy that was supposed to be doing our session, and he was going to be there at 1:45, this man asked her for his phone number because he was pissed. I kinda went off on him. I had said a few things when people were getting all mean earlier along the lines of "I bet everyone in here has been late a few times in their lives..." Anyway, I just kept saying that I don't think anyone should be handed that guy's number. Most of the really obnoxious ones left shortly after that.
So. A replacement showed up, 45 minutes late, and we still got out of there ten minutes early. When the woman arrived she was very apologetic, and said something about people probably getting uptight, and we assured her that the uptight ones had left.
I got 25 out of 28 on my test. I would have done better had I not finished first and handed my test right in before double checking it, in typical charlz fashion.
Now I'm off to Providence to sleep and go to the AIRPORT!!
