2010 Census

I have an appointment tomorrow to apply and test to work for the 2010 census. This is pretty exciting! I hope it was not foolish to set the appointment even though I am sick, but I'm spending the whole day today in bed and hopefully will be clear-headed enough tomorrow to do well on a basic math test. Is it a little sick that I'm excited to take a test? Basic math and reading comprehension. Yes. Yes. I think it is sick. Like me.

I leave the day after tomorrow for two weeks in Seattle with my lover. I get to meet the brute's family, see my portland family, have a crafternoon/brunch, fuck a lot, flirt a lot, go to a celebration of AJ's life, hang out with Tia, go to the spa, eat a lot of yummy breakfasts, and just be in community. Yes. Please. I am so lonely and so ready to have physical contact with people i love and to be around people with whom I share a lot of commonality.

Damn. I'm so sorry you found out this way. I heard via Facebook.
AJ has been battling cancer for a couple of years now and the last few months her health went downhill. She passed away, I believe, on Sunday, in Colorado where she has been staying with her sister and brother in law.
Losing her is definitely a huge loss to our family and community.

Damn. I knew she was battling cancer. We weren't close, but I still knew her to be an awesome womon. You are right: Losing her is definitely a huge loss to our family and community.

Glad that you can go and be with family and community at this time.
