My father just called. It's 10 pm. I immediately go numb because all I can think is it's real late in North Carolina for him to be calling me. But his voice sounds fine.
I say, "Where are you?"
He says, "Seattle."
He hasn't done job in Seattle in like 10 years.
Yes. Apparently I am going back to Seattle this weekend. Which will, I hope, involve a date with the Brutal Stranger.
