this is my hell

just a couple pics of the house i've been working on since before michigan. i'll post mostly-finished product pix sometime later.


finished dormer. note the tiny stripes of darker grey. also, the white triangle above the window is luan (sp?) and it's there because they didn't follow the plans and in doing so upset the historical value of the house. so the nice sunburst pattern behind the luan has to be covered.


see all those spots? nail holes. putty, sand, prime, swipe-o-caulk (the nails are rusting and coming through... i think it's cause the builders used the wrong kind), and finally, paint.

i forgot to mention

it's raining. that sucks. mostly that sucks for my boss, because she made a committment to have a lot of work done by tomorrow and then went on vacation. if she and gia were here for the last three gorgeous days, the shit she said "she'd" finish would be done. oh well. hope she's having a nice time in florida, dumbass.
yeah, i'm bitter.
you see, the thing is... i think that if you own a painting business, and you live in a place with seasons (like winter), you don't GET to go on vacation the first week in november and leave your only employee (who is underpaid) on a huge job all by herself.
yesterday as i was coming back from lunch, the building contractor looked at me, looked at the house, looked at me, and said "that's a whole lot of house for one person."
"you're damned right it is."
did i mention she asked me to lie for her? well, she did. and i did!! i can't believe i did. and i mostly didn't outright lie, but i was dishonest for that fucking jerk. good lord.

ok. so, since it's raining, i get to do other things. hopefully i can make myself do something other than fuck aroundon the internet. cause there's a lot to do. i'm leaving the day after tomorrow. which is nuts. my room is a mess, i'm not at all packed. or unpacked, even. so here's where my day should go.

1. un/pack
2. laundry
3. pick up registration from insurance agency
4. take things to swapshop
5. return movies, and get more
6. watch movies and go to survivor night at little ted's.
7. make burgers and french fries (from potatoes... mm).

i just wanna say that i've made dinner ever night since we came to the new house. cause there's space! so much space! i made ginger greens and tofu last night, and when i was prepping the kale, i didn't have to put any of it in the sink!! it's incredible! (if you've been to ptown, you might understand this. people live in "apartments" the size of your tent, or maybe your bathroom).

shut down.

i'm really shut down and irritable. and i no likes.
i just want to sit around and watch movies for the rest of my life. that's all.
maybe i'm grumpy cause i can't have what i want. ?
