heaven

ok, i just wrote a huge long entry about the incredible night and day grover and i just had together, and the erased it by accident.
so. i guess you'll just have to read when she posts details later, cause i just can't.
but here's a little...
we stayed in a dune shack last night. what is a dune shack? well, it's a small one-room cabin with a porch, that's all built out of reclaimed lumber and driftwood. even the outhouse. sssssexy. we used kerosene lamps, a coal stove for heat, pumped the water out of the well by hand, and cooked on a stove fueled by small propane tanks outside. it was really amazing, and exactly how i'd like to live someday. we were soooo far away from other humans. thank god. except this guy that lives in a shack nearby year-round. but we never saw him or anything. my mom and the french teacher from her school dropped us off there. mom hung out for a long time while genvieve went and cleaned one of the other shacks. it was great telling stories and lounging on the bed. the genvieve picked mom up again, and we had the tiny heaven to ourselves. we had the most amazing romantical night of snuggling and such. and such. i like my girlfriend.
the best part was today when we tried to follow my mom's directions home, and got turned around. in the sand dunes. aka, sand mountains. sand as far as you can see, speckled with coyote tracks and low-to-the-ground plants. we were fine until we realized that we had stopped following the human tracks and started following coyote tracks. oops. i felt like we were going in the wrong direction, and this was confirmed when we started hearing the ocean again. our hour-long walk home ended up taking closer to two hours. and that was fine. it was an adventure. once we found the highway there were many high-ives and much rejoicing.
alright. that's what i got. it was a really magical place, and we were sooo fortunate to have the honor of staying there. really.
