She was given a pink slip letting her know that she's not re-hired next year. They work on year-long contracts so it's not that hard to get rid of teachers there.
Fucked. Up.
I had a lovely day today. Really. Hung out with Zelda and Tyler and bought a hundred dollars worth of books. Ohmygod I'm so excited! I got the Eastern and Western Region versions of the Audubon Society's Field guide to trees. Ugh! I've wanted those books for ever.
And I got a book for someone to replace one that I let get ruined last year - I left it in the care of my mumma. I have to figure out how and when to send it. Tricky tricky.
Anyway. There was sushi involved today. And lots and lots of talking and laughter and crying.
Jesus I love them both so much.
