What part of your ears? The part that gets waxy? The lobe? The eustacian tubes? My eustacian tubes get itchy when I have hay fever. I get eczema on my earlobes when my immune system is down, and I get thrush on my gauged piercings when I don't clean them enough or too much. So many sources of itchiness! Skin manifestations can be candida things. Do you have other reasons to think you have candida? (Personally, I think almost everyone has it.)
My ears are itchy in the waxy part. I'm also having something like a yeast infection, but not. No discharge.... which is making me less sure it's thrush. I'm going to go to the clinic on tuesday, and cut sugar and wheat in the mean time, but I've found that my f-list (you) know more about this stuff than most clinics. xo
No sugar, and not carbs (wheat, potatoes, chips, breads, sweets, fruits, cola) will help a lot. Eat yoghurt like a madwoman.
I often get what I call a "borderline yeast infection" which is just inflamation and itchiness without any other 'typical' yeast infection symtoms. If it's too itchy or burny, it helps if you pee on yourself whenever you need to pee. My technique is to cup my hand over mu vulva while peeing, so the pee swooshes over my whole labial area before rushing into the toilet. Have a handful of TP on hand! It really really helps neutralise the discomfort. Since urine is serile (unless you have a bladder infection) it is totally safe.
I also find that pau d'arco tea is helpful cause it's a funcicidal tea. Drink 2-4 cups a day, and don't drink more than 1 cup at a time cause it could have laxative efefcts. However, it's considered in some literature to be an abortificant, so don't use it if you're already trying to get pregnant. You can also douche / splash with that tea to heal the infection.
If you have acidophilus capsules, put one inside your vag as high up as you can. Do this once a day or so. They might eventually kind of melt out, or they might disappear completely. Just don't be surprised if a half a mushy capsule comes out at some point.
Goldenseal douches work really well, too, but the herb is strong and shouldn't be used for more than a week and make sure to follow up with acidophilus inserts.
TMI no way! Thanks so much!! this is so helpful. And I love you for it! Have to go shopping today, because, while I want to cut sugar out... there's nothing at my school cafeteria (which has been the source of all my nutrition) without sugar. I'm going to have to do a pretty lax cleanse, because I'm just too busy right now to cook every meal. more to come, I'm sure... Thanks thanks thanks! xo
I reccomend just lowering your carbs (I mean grains & taters) and totally cutting out refined sugar and fruit and juice. That's a big help and a managable way to start. Oh, and no booze till at least a week after you feel better.
Well, no drinking should be easy... haven't been since new year's. And haven't been having coffee either, but WAY too much black tea with WAY too much sugar. Here we go again... I saw you're jumping into it again, too. Good luck!
Black tea won't really affect your current YI / itchies. Enjoy it, but without sugar. Maybe try stevia if you're desperate for something sweet in your bevvie.
Also, if you're already cutting out stuff and doing a cleanse, you could be experiencing a "die off reaction", which is an increase in the annoyance of candida symptoms before you start to feel better.

You can combine all of the above.
