Maybe some word substance wouldn't be a horrible thing.
I'm getting ready to go to my going away party at work. it should be fun. It's for me and my favorite coworker - who is also leaving at the same time. And we invited all the regulars. So, it's going to be a wonderfully socially awkward time at the Flying Saucer. I can't wait. I'm going to drink a lot of mojitos. And try my best to not have my behind-the-counter personality on. We'll see how it goes.
So, I leave brooklyn in just over a week. I can hardly believe it. It's been nice to be here. I'm glad to be leaving. I'm going to spend 2 weeks in michigan and ohio before G even gets there. I'm going early to go to my cousin's graduation party, and see my dad, and stay with my grandparents. Also, I'll do some visiting in Toledo. I'm excited. I miss my family a lot lately, and it might be my last chance to spend a good chunk of time there.
Things with G are great. I'm so happy lately, most of the time. I recently came across a journal from Santa Cruz, and realized how much happier I am to be alive now than I was then. I was still such a bitter child. Anyway, lately, around my girlfriend, i've been really giddy. Geeking out. I don't really understand being this happy. But I'm certainly not arguing. Shoot.
We're negotiating opening our relationship back into poly/non-monogamy right now. Which is fun and exciting, also. (I feel funny writing that on here, since our little lj community is widely overlapped. talking about her like she's not here... heheh)
Work has been good to me. There are a lot of frustrating things there at times, but fuck. I don't think a job could be much easier. I work for really nice people (maybe slightly clueless), the customers are mostly amazing, and it's even a little exciting dealing with the ones that aren't. Telling people to fuck off in a professional manner is something I excel at. I should put it on my resume.
Ok, I think that's enough updating for now. I'm going to put on my (newly girl-cut) incredible hulk shirt, and get on to this party.
