i hear you - the kids in my classes want some sort of free ride too, and they are always shocked when a test turns out to be hard. explains why some of them didn't make it to the second semester. hang in there smartypants. in the REAL WORLD it still matters a lot that you have an excellent work/study ethic and care about such considerations as not talking on a cell phone in class.
