Another sunny day.
Yesterday it was gorgeous and I didn't really do much. I did walk into our little town of Onset and go to the post office, the little grocery store, and the local independent book store -- which I had never been in. I stopped at the wheel barrow full of books outside. I got The Joy Luck Club, Missionary Daddy, a Calorie Counter book from the 80s, an antiques magazine from the 70s, and Her Private Dancer -- a Harlequin romance novel with a $2.98 Wal-Mart price tag on it -- all for thirty cents.
Missionary Daddy I thought sounded dirty. Turns out, they mean missionary as in like, white Christian man working in Africa. "... bringing needy children and loving families together to do the good work of the Lord..." Or something like that, I started reading it in the bathtub last night because I was curious. Then I ended up throwing it across the room round about chapter three. I'm glad I bought it so no one else could. At least there's sex in the harlequin romance.
Today, I've been super productive in the time I've been awake. And I plan on continuing. I've gotten my house cleaner than it's been since I got depressed, including getting my laundry all done and actually put away. I'm doing my ma's laundry now, and still would like to clean more. My Brute is coming on Friday, and I'm heading to Boston on Thursday to inseminate myself in a room at the Econolodge. Hahaha. Anyway, I hope to kinda have the place spotless at the start of her visit, and at the beginning of my mom's new job.
Oh, Hey! My mom got a job!! She rocks. Three interviews in her week between work. She got offered two of them. And she didn't like the third anyway.
More on that later, maybe. But, my mom fucking rules.
