That's what I told The Brute today on the phone. while we were talking. On my way to lunch.

Yeah, well, remember how I got my car back from the mechanic yesterday?
It's not registered and has not been registered since my roadtrip across the country. Read: I drove it to Michigan and back and then around here quite a bit with illegal plates and a bad inspection sticker.
Yeah. Well. It got impounded today on my lunch break.
Huh. Fucking. Larious.
Someone referred to this as "Classic Welch" and I think it's perfectly suiting.
People talk to me in situations like this as if I have been bodily injured. It's just a fucking hunk of metal on wheels, folks. It's inconvenient, sure, but for fuck's sake. It's not my right arm.
Also, the cop was a dyke, and she was friendly after she realized I wasn't a criminal and so was the guy with her who I think she may have been training. He was Gorgeous. With a capital G.
